HB 611 calls for the construction of an Early Identification System to allow law enforcement agencies to spot and intervene in problematic behavior before it becomes a significant event.

HB611 is essentially a program that keeps track of each officer’s performance and predicts possible issues. The tools detect police who exhibit concerning patterns of conduct, allowing supervisors to either carefully watch these officers or intervene and send them to treatment.

Our communities have been generationally traumatized by the lack of accountability that exists within the criminal justice system. We must identify individuals who contribute to this issue and hold them accountable, which is why we support this essential legislation.
