Early in the morning of March 14, 2020, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. This bill represents a good, albeit modest, first step in our national struggle against the pandemic. The Senate must now pass the exact same bill so that it can go to the President for his signature (President Trump has said he supports the legislation and will sign it into law). Time is of the essence, as the disease spreads and more Americans get ill.
Please review the attached Action Update / URGENT Action Alert and take Fast Action to urge your Senators them to pass the bill unamended as swiftly as possible. We must then immediately begin our next legislative response.
